Minifigments of the Imagination: BrickCon 2010

Minifigments of the Imagination: BrickCon 2010: "

Where could you have seen mecha-dinosaurs, World War 2 urban combat, armies of ghouls with elephant backup, and grown men haggling over a flat, 2-inch square of sand-colored plastic? At BrickCon 2010, the Northwest's biggest LEGO convention, held this past weekend at Seattle Center. LEGO devotees from around the region and around the world assembled to, uh, assemble everything from pink, girlie mechs to classic comic book covers to tributes to vintage video games.

We tried to capture as much of the awesome as we could, but the scrum around the displays was as thick and rowdy as the crowds surrounding the Mona Lisa at the Louvre. Our little camera was no match for the jostling. Our pics below are but an appetizer for the 11,000-plus photos in the BrickCon Flickr pool. Next year, we'll come ready to shoot under combat conditions.
